Part 5 SMS: applicability comes before the deadline
May 28, 2027 applies to Part 135 operators authorized before May 28, 2024 and certain applicants. Section 91.147 air tour operations also have specific timelines; ordinary Part 91 operations do not share a universal SMS mandate. Part 121 has a separate implementation history. Confirm the authorization and application status before selecting a timeline.
